The project involved the challenge of adding a floor to an existing building while preserving its Islamic architectural character, despite the unavailability of the original structural drawings. Conventional concrete solutions were incompatible with the existing structure.
Innovative Structural Solutions
The challenge was overcome by inspecting the structural elements and developing an additional-floor system using steel sections, alongside designing and approving a façade compatible with the original building.
